Building a line-following course


The following steps will show you how to build a line-following course.

You will need the following things to build the course:

  • Boxboard
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Black permanent marker pen

Draw a sketch of your course using a pencil and ruler. The width of the line should be approximately 1" and the course should be connected (not open) to drive the robot continuously. Then, color the track using a permanent marker pen. Figure 5.9 shows a sample line-following course that you can use to build one:
