Working with virtual teams in digital settings
A virtual team can be defined as a geographically dispersed team that relies on technology as its primary tool of communication. In reality, many teams are hybrid, combining in-person and digital communication, in both team meetings and team communication between meetings. Leadership within a digital context has been studied, but there is a lack of knowledge of how transformational leadership and other leadership styles fit within the advancement of new technologies.
The Build for Earth program gathers individuals and teams from all over the world. In the first program, team members from 18 countries across 5 continents participated, and in the ongoing Build for Earth 2024, 19 nationalities across 5 continents are represented in the acceleration program.
