Summary
In this chapter, we learned how to texture the landscape by mixing two different materials, rocky snow and mud. We learned how to mix two different materials on the same object while controlling where and to what degree we wanted the mixing to occur by using masks.
Next, we learned how to optimize and organize our node setup by using groups that allow us to simplify a node tree by hiding away complexity.
In the next chapter, we’ll be creating assets such as rocks, stones, and grass to enrich our landscape scene.
