Creating your own patterns
Creating patterns is easy, and you can do this within the interface. Let’s dive in by creating a pattern by just using the interface. You can do this now. Previously, you had to create a pattern and then save it in a theme. Now you can manage everything within the editor itself – cool! For this example, we will use Twenty Twenty-Four as a theme as we have done in other walk-throughs.
- Let’s create a simple pattern by selecting a group block. We will use a new post or page to do this to start afresh. Most patterns start with a container of some form. The group block, cover, or columns are great foundations. Of course, you can try different options as well. As you can see in this screenshot, once you select that block, you have the option to add other blocks inside.
