Overview of System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) was released as an independent product for managing virtualized workload for virtual machine deployment, management, and maintenance. VMM started providing support for Microsoft hypervisor (Hyper-V), VMware, and Citrix XenServer. If we talk about Hyper-V in particular, VMM introduced a number of features for the management of Hyper-V virtualized workload that were not available with the native tools to manage the Hyper-V virtual machines. With all these capabilities, VMM started getting a good amount of attention from the industry and also helped Hyper-V as a new product available in the market gain customer trust and market share
