Summary
In this chapter, we continued to build our secure and extensible foundation in Google Cloud by completing step 7, where we laid out the network layer of our Google Cloud foundation. We learned how the key pieces and parts of networking worked in the context of Google Cloud. We planned our network from the top down, and our plan included everything from IP addresses to firewall names. We learned how the network helps add a layer of security to our defense-in-depth approach and how we could integrate our network with our on-premises environment. Finally, we saw how, once again, Terraform can help us create it all.
