Understanding the importance of in-person or live training
Many training methods can be used depending on different factors. Choosing the right method is important for training to be effective. In this section, I would like to focus on why I find in-person or live training beneficial for typical medium- to high-complexity projects and beyond. Based on the profile of your end users and project size, you can use other methods too. Let’s look at some of the important factors that I find useful and use to justify conducting a live training session:
- Led by an instructor presenting to a live audience. You will be able to see the end users, share your screen with them, and interact with them.
- Users can ask questions in real time. These will be actual conversations.
- It’s a good opportunity for other attendees to listen to other people’s queries and interact with the trainer, as well as other team members.
