Appendix B. The Thwack Community
Beyond the standard support and documentation resources that SolarWinds provides, there is also one more thing; the Thwack Community at www.thwack.com. Back in 2005, Thwack was an alternative for SolarWinds product support. There were only a few hundred members at the time and it was a simple forum that provided support and information for SolarWinds products. But today, Thwack is strong with more than 25,000 members and has a wealth of information not only about SolarWinds products but also on networking, server administration, and other IT professional topics.
The Thwack community has evolved from a simple forum in to a fully-featured IT professional community. In it, you can find blogs, forums, downloads, and product trial links, a request box for SolarWinds support, training videos, geek games, support articles, and advice, and above all else, the content exchange. SolarWinds product managers, developers, and SolarWinds Certified Professionals do frequent community posts on Thwack and respond directly to customers. In fact, many new product features come straight from customer suggestions on www.thwack.com! Joining the Thwack Community is free for everyone and all SolarWinds customers are encouraged to do so.
