The Packt Gear solution
In previous chapters, we decided Packt Gear’s B2C solution will include B2C Commerce, Service Cloud, and the core Marketing Cloud Engagement solution to support messaging and journeys. We also know Packt Gear wants to create robust social experiences where outdoor enthusiasts can interact and discuss their favorite hikes, the weather in their area, great spots for fishing, and the best gear for their activities and settings. This is a natural fit for Experience Cloud, which would be supported by Salesforce CMS to maintain a consistent look and feel with B2C Commerce. Customization will also be required to implement a seamless identity management solution across B2C Commerce and Experience Cloud, so customers do not have to log into separate systems.
Finally, since Packt Gear is in the market for a new OM solution anyway, Salesforce OM is a good fit and will require minimal customization for their use cases. In a future phase, building out a loyalty...
