Visualizations in action

In this section, we will review the process of creating and editing various visualizations that are available in Redash.

Visualizations are also referred to as widgets, especially in Redash code and documentation.

Creating and editing visualizations

In order to create a new visualization, the query must be Saved. If you didn't save the query in advance, when you start creating the visualization, the query will be saved automatically.

To create a new visualization, press the +New Visualization button:
