Leveraging search engines for OSINT

The internet is the largest network in the world, and navigating and finding resources can be challenging at times, especially if we don’t know the domain name or Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of a specific website. To help us quickly find the right domain name for a website, we can use an internet search engine. Internet search engines crawl and index everything on the internet, which enables a person to perform an internet search using keywords to find all relevant resources while providing safe results.

Without internet search engines, a person needs to know the right domain name, hostname, or URL for the website they want to visit. For instance, imagine a world without internet search engines; each person would need to keep an up-to-date record of each new website and its IP address. If an organization changed its domain name, perhaps due to rebranding, the information would need to be shared with all internet subscribers. However...
