Putting It All Together
We’ve covered a lot of ground throughout this book. We’ve talked about the pre-work for solution building, how to determine and encapsulate important information about your organization that feeds into the design process, how to set the scope, how to derive solutions from risk and threat information (accounting for organizational needs and context along the way), how to craft technical solutions, how to implement them, and how to keep pace with unexpected changes and curveballs.
At this point, you have a solid understanding of a process that can help you get there, as well as a subset of the tools that you can use (or adapt) to do so. As you gain mastery, you will discover new tools, new techniques, new processes, and new approaches. You will build on the foundational principles to improve.
