Future trends in application monitoring

It is difficult to present a perspective on future trends without being opinionated, so the following opinions reflect my beliefs on where the industry is heading:

• Cost reduction: At the time of writing, companies are actively looking at ways to reduce operational expenditure. There is a lot of scope for cost reduction in observability systems. Grafana is leading the charge with this. Take a look at the following:
