Chapter 5. User Management
In this chapter, you will learn how to manage users in your Moodle system. We will first look at what information is stored for each user and how we can extend their profiles. We will then perform a number of standard user actions that include:
Browsing users
Filtering users
Bulk user actions
A number of mechanisms are covered to manually add new users to Moodle, namely:
Adding individual users
Uploading users and their pictures in bulk
Self-enrolment
We will then deal with a wide range of user authentication types, before concluding the chapter with a best practice section. That is a lot to take in, so we better get going.
