Editing actions

Once you have captured actions either manually by using the UI components or directly by using the recorder tools, you can go ahead and edit the steps. You can make changes to actions including the following:

• Dragging and dropping to reorder actions
• Disabling actions
• Inserting new actions
• Editing an action 

You will normally need to edit actions and replace data with a variable. The following screenshot shows an action where the text has been entered into a field:

The text entered during the recording is between the % symbols. You can create a variable as shown in the next screenshot:

Variables start and end with the % symbol. Variables can be internal variables, flow variables – such as counters, or input or output variables. Input variables can be passed to the UI flow from a Power Automate flow. Output variables are passed from the UI flow to a Power Automate flow.
