Prior to converting your data, you must already have a QBO account. If you don't have a QBO account, refer back to Chapter 1, Getting Started with QuickBooks Online, to learn how to set one up. If you have an existing account, you must convert your QuickBooks Desktop data within the first 60 days of your QuickBooks Online subscription date. Follow these steps to create a QuickBooks Online account:
- Go to www.intuit.com.
- Click on Products and choose QuickBooks.
- Click on Plans & Pricing.
- Choose one of the following versions of QuickBooks Online:
- Simple Start
- Essentials
- Plus
- Advanced
- Enter your company information.
- Log out of your account.
