Using 3D elements for sketching


In Panel 3 of Page 3 on the Steven Strange comic that we're working on, Martha the receptionist is handing Steven a Visitor's Badge from across her desk. Let's use a 3D model to make sure that we get this pose and the hand positioning correct.

First, we'll need to make sure that we're on Page 3 of our story file. Go to the Story tab and double-click on Page 3 if it's not already opened. Zoom in a bit so that the third panel is in focus on your screen. Then let's open the Materials palette and take a look in the 3D | Pose folder to see if there's anything that looks close enough to the pose we want for us to use it.

Or, to speed up the process of finding the right pose, let's select a keyword to narrow down the choices. Martha's sitting down, and underneath the option for us to type a keyword in the right side of the Materials palette is a list of tags that Manga Studio uses. Scroll down and click on the Sit_down tag to highlight it and the results will be restricted...
