Creating double-exposure compositions
A double exposure was originally achieved in photography by exposing the same frame of film several times to blend different images on a single negative.
Blending unrelated images
You will first create an accurate selection and mask the street image in the shape of the woman’s body. Follow these steps:
- Go to File → Open, browse to the
11-Blend
folder, selectExposure-Subject.jpg
, and click on Open. - Then, go to File → Place Linked, browse to the
11-Blend
folder, selectExposure-Street.jpg
, and click on Place. - When the artwork appears, click on the Commit button in the Options bar. Turn off the Exposure-Street layer visibility and left-click on the Background layer in the Layers panel to make it active:
