Time for action – enabling Terms of Use
To enable the terms of use in our website, please follow the steps mentioned below:
Log in to Liferay using admin credentials.
Navigate to the Control Panel by clicking on Manage | Control Panel from the dock bar.
Click on Portal Settings, available in the Portal section on the left-hand side, and click on the Users option from the right, as shown in the following screenshot:
Select the checkbox against Terms of Use Required. Note that this will not be checked by default, if you have used Liferay bundle, whereas if you have deployed Liferay in your existing server, this is activated by default.
Well that's pretty much about it. Now, any user after creating an account will be provided with the Terms of Use page, which he has to accept before accessing the site, as shown in the following screenshot:
