Hardware configuration
As pointed out earlier, we can utilize the existing configuration used in the previous chapters for this project.
For the temperature and light sensors circuit, you can go back and refer to Chapter 4, Monitoring Data Remotely.
For relay integration, follow the set of relay instructions in Chapter 3, Controlling Outputs Using the Galileo Board.
When you completed these steps, we can add the pump and the soil sensor to them.
To add the soil sensor, connect the red wire to 5V pin on the board, green wire to ground, yellow wire to pin 7, and the blue wire to pin 6.
As for the pump, it really depends on which pump you are using. To connect the pump to the relay and then to the plant, you can consult your pump's data sheet.
