Integrating Sametime Advanced into your environment

Sametime Advanced 8.5.2 is a WebSphere-based application that requires the use of a DB2 database and LDAP for authentication. It can be installed in either stand-alone mode or as part of the SSC, if you are deploying other Sametime components. Sametime Advanced requires you to have a Sametime Community Server installed and an LDAP directory for authentication for it to work. It utilizes Single Sign-On (SSO) between the Domino-based Community Server and itself, ensuring that once a user logs into their Sametime Community, they are automatically logged into Sametime Advanced.

Other Sametime components can also be used by Sametime Advanced to enhance its features. The Sametime Proxy Server enables awareness to be shown throughout the browser interface, and the Sametime Meeting Server provides the functionality...
