SmartState analysis
SmartState analysis is a key feature of Red Hat CloudForms Management Engine. It uses SmartProxy to extract internal information of a virtual machine—such as user accounts, applications, software patches, and so on—and processes all of this. Every zone must have at least one CloudForms management server with the SmartState role enabled.
There are more prerequisites for this:
SmartState Analysis role has to be enabled in the Server Control Settings
SmartProxy has to be enabled in the Server Control Settings
SmartProxy has to be installed on the host running the virtual machines with visibility to the data store (the storage location)
There are other infrastructure\vendor-specific requirements, and you should refer to them before running a SmartState analysis on them.
