Creating an Azure Container Registry

In this exercise, you are going to create a registry in Azure Container Registry. As mentioned previously, this is very similar to Docker Hub but is native to Azure. Follow these steps:

1. Sign in to the Azure portal at https://portal.azure.com.
2. Open or create the resource group you will be using for this exercise; you can use AZ104-Containers. Click Overview on the left menu, then click Create.
3. In the top search bar, type container registry, and click the Container Registry option that appears. Then, click Create, as shown in Figure 14.20:

4. Give it a unique Registry name and select the appropriate Location entry. Leave the Pricing plan value as Standard for this exercise. Click Review + create. The configurations are shown in the following screenshot:
