Summary
This chapter focused on how enterprises aspiring for greater agility need to move away from rigid, heavyweight, and activity-oriented processes to having processes that optimize flow, quality, throughput, outcomes, and collaboration. Building processes that are fit for purpose and having agility is not dichotomous. Companies must have processes that serve people and ambitions, not the other way around.
The next chapter is about the third and most important component of a business: the significance of people and how to leverage their capabilities for enhancing enterprise agility.
