Editing videos in Movie mode
Under the previous Rearranging clips in Movie mode section, we looked at how to move clips around in your project to start your assembly edit. This section will go over the tools you can use in Movie mode to quickly trim down your clips so that you can make your assembly edit more concise. Then, we’ll cover some tools for adding meaning.
Edit actions in Movie mode
Apart from trimming clips (simply by holding and dragging the edge of a clip in the timeline), the most common process for editing clips after rearranging them is splitting. These are editing actions that you’ll be familiar with from our dabbling in QuickTime Player (see the Using Clips mode section of Chapter 1) and Magic Movie (see the Using the Edit menu in Magic Movie section of Chapter 2).
