Summary
In this chapter, we learned about the general components of a data warehousing system and how those components can be implemented in the Databricks Lakehouse with the Medallion architecture. We also learned about the best practices for implementing popular data modeling techniques on the Lakehouse.
This brings us to the end of Part 2 of this book, which focused on the core technology enablers of Databricks SQL. In the next chapter, which also marks the beginning of Part 3 of this book, we will discuss the SQL commands that are available in Databricks SQL, starting with commands that allow us to manipulate and work with our data.
