I was going through this book over past few months and this Edition is an excellent guidebook for developers looking to implement Azure PaaS ecosystems. It covered a wide range of topics, including identity and management, federation concepts, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, containers, serverless, storage, monitoring, performance, and scalability. As a developer, the code samples provided in various places eased my learning approach. Overall, I found Azure for Developers to be an invaluable resource for anyone looking to learn more about Azure development.

Using this book as a preparation for AZ-204 exam. So far, looks great as it provides step-by-step instructions on how to do things, together with screenshots and code samples. Since this is the second, updated and refreshed edition, I believe that it will help me pass the (also refreshed) exam. I really liked the review questions at the end of chapters, as well as the further reading links, enabling me to go deeper into the subject.

As an Azure Cloud Engineer working mainly in an Administrator and Architecture role, there were a few things on the development side that I was looking to gain a deeper understanding. This book has been a great help in gaining some additional insight into those services that I don’t use day to day in my role, such as App Service, Serverless, Function Apps, Storage interaction with Event Hubs\Queues, ACR, to name a few. While not specifically written to the AZ-204 Developer exam, this book provides great detail into many of the services covered by the exam. It has been a valuable reference to have on my desk when I need a deeper dive into development resources in Azure.
