Adopting JPD

JPD can be installed using one of the following two licensing plans:

• A Free plan, for up to three licensed users (called creators)
• A paid Standard plan for larger teams, that have more than three creators

This recipe will focus on installing the Free plan. Organization admins can switch plans from Free to Standard or vice versa when the need arises.

Getting ready

As we saw in Chapter 1, there are different levels of administration on the Atlassian cloud. Some functions can only be performed by the organization admin, while others may be shared between the organization admin and the product admin (in this case, a Jira admin).

This recipe can only be performed by the organization admin.
