Technical requirements

There are four things you'll need to walk through the examples provided in this chapter:

• Power BI Desktop: You can install Power BI from the Microsoft Store, or find more advanced downloading options at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494.
• An Azure subscription: Cognitive Services is a service available in Azure. To create a resource, you need to have access to an Azure subscription. If you don't have one yet, you can sign up for a free subscription at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/.
• A license for Microsoft Power Apps: To create an app with Power Apps, you need a work or school account and a license for Microsoft Power Apps, which may already be provided to you through your organization.
