A green screen has typically been used for visual effects (VFX) in the film industry such as to replace a background to show a superhero flying, or on television to show a weather forecaster’s map. However, there is no reason why you cannot use it to spice up your videos for social media or the web.
The need for using green screens on personal videos may have various motivations. For example, sometimes you may want to have the option to change the background of a video after it has been filmed, such as adding an animated graphic (for example, showing key business stats) in the background behind your presenter.
In the same vein, it is also good to use a green screen when you want to update the background of your video to suit different markets while keeping the foreground content the same.
