The many processes you go through to get your app published in the directory are to ensure that Slack is offering credible, reliable, high-quality material to its users. While your app being published is a great achievement, it is by no means the end of this process. Like any application, the way it's created for the present won't always be its most advanced version. Apps require updates to work out kinks and modernize with the times. Your app wasn't created on its own and it won't update on its own either.
In order to offer your app's users the highest quality experience throughout its lifetime on the App Directory, you as the creator are expected to maintain the app's quality, performance, maintenance, support, and security standards consistently.
