Akka Supervision

In this section, we will discuss one of the important concepts of Akka Toolkit—Supervision.

First, we will discuss the supervision role in Akka and move to its strategies. We will explore Akka Supervision strategies with some examples in the practical section.

What is supervision?

Supervision is a technique to organize the Akka Actors into a hierarchy, which means creating a parent-child relationship between Actors.

In Akka terminology, the parent Actor is known as supervisor and the child Actor as subordinate:
