In this chapter, we explored the challenges that arise when managing a large React application and the importance of establishing a solid project structure. We discussed various styles of structuring a React application, including feature-based, component-based, MVVM, and atomic design. Each approach offers its benefits and considerations, allowing developers to choose the most suitable structure for their specific project requirements.
Additionally, we proposed a continuously evolving approach to shaping the folder structure as the project grows. Starting with a simple initial structure, we emphasized the need to adapt and introduce new layers and abstractions to reduce duplication and maintain code organization. By continuously refining the structure and adhering to consistent conventions, developers can navigate, add new features, and maintain scalability effectively.
