Organizing your node tree using Reroutes
As mentioned in past chapters, a Reroute is basically a free-standing node connection that can be used to guide node cables to other directions, group multiple node connections, and so on. We can also utilize Reroutes to clean up our node tree.
Beware though – this can be a really tedious process that requires a lot of thinking.
We can add Reroutes by one of two methods – we can either add them via the Add menu, or we can add them by pressing / on our keyboard, although this requires the Node Wrangler add-on to execute.
We can add Reroutes to the corners of hard-to-see node cables to guide these node cables in another direction. We can also use Reroutes to make the curves of these node cables more natural.
Tips
You can move Reroutes by pressing G. You can also copy them with Shift + D.
Play around with these Reroutes until you get something that looks like the following result:
