In this chapter, we covered different sources that can be used as data for your Power Apps. First, we covered how Excel can be used as a data source and provided different ways to connect. Then, we showed a similar approach using SharePoint Lists. In both situations, we highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of each. After, we explored using Dataverse. This provided you with a broad overview of the various connectors that are available when you’re creating your app. Lastly, we introduced the concept of using dataflows.
This chapter completes Part 1, which is designed to cover some important overall aspects of your project app. This includes discussing the importance of using solutions, how to effectively use environments, the difference between a canvas app and a model-driven app, and various data connections. In Part 2, we will dive deeper into more advanced Power Apps techniques.
