Summary
Is it just me or is it every time we reach the end of a chapter it feels like we ran a marathon?
At any rate, CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN! We covered a lot. We learned some basic animation concepts including frame rate, keyframing, and dope sheets, and explored how they are implemented in Blender with the Timeline (one of Blender's several animation tools). Then we went ahead and put that knowledge to practical use by creating cool animated blast doors, planning out how to model them in detail and then animating each piece in the Timeline. Finally, we added some textures to spice up the visuals and exported them for use in our Unity minigame.
I can't wait to see our creations in action back in Unity. Next chapter, we will return to Unity and continue to incorporate what we've built, as well as adding some new game functionality. All systems go!
