Monkeying Around with the Monkey Head
Poor Suzanne, she is going to be our assistant as we explore some of the Blender tools we have learned about. But really, a monkey is so much more interesting than playing with a cube. So, let's get started.
Create a new Suzanne by pressing Shift + A to open the Add pop-up window and choosing Mesh | Monkey. You can also accomplish this by going to the onscreen Add menu at the upper left and choosing Mesh | Monkey from the drop-down menu.
It's possible you've shifted the viewport. If you're not looking at Suzanne's face, change to the Front view by pressing the period (.) on the Numpad or from the View menu choose Viewport | Front:
Now, in rapid succession, try to get used to rotating, panning, and zooming your view (we are not yet altering the model/mesh). Remember, it's the middle mouse button to rotate (also called "...
