Blender Command Review

Okay, we know our mission, but it's been quite some time since we've had some Blender training. Let's have a quick, intensive overview of the most important Blender functionality that will help us build our marine with the least amount of pain.

3D View Commands

These commands will be essential to your modeling process and you will use them over and over. If this refresher is not enough for you, or if you jumped to this chapter, you may want to go back and have a look at Chapter 3, Entering the Blender Zone for the First Time. Here are some of the most useful commands within the 3D View pane.

Navigating the View

There are many, many ways to change what you are viewing. The basic mouse and keyboard controls are middle mouse button to tumble your view, Shift + middle mouse button to pan, and scroll wheel to zoom. There are also on-screen controls:
