Differences between Azure AD licenses
As we've explained so far in this chapter, the choice of which license to acquire is determined by several factors, with one of them being the technical capability of the service. Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is one of them, which requires an understanding of the different capabilities that are available in each plan to decide from before the acquisition.
Now, we will explain what the main service differences between the Azure AD licenses are:
- Azure Active Directory Free: Available with a subscription to a commercial service, such as Dynamics or Azure, includes on-premises directory synchronization, reports, and the ability for cloud users to reset their passwords without admin interaction.
