Configuring vSphere Update Manager
Now that you have an understanding of vSphere Update Manager, you can access all of its administrative functionality by clicking the Update Manager icon on the Home screen within the vSphere Web Client. Additionally, in the Hosts And Clusters or VMs And Templates inventory view, you'll see a corresponding Update Manager tab that provides you access to the operational-side of Upgrade Manager—allowing you to scan for patches, create and attach baselines, stage patches to hosts, and remediate hosts and guests.
Clicking the Update Manager icon at the vSphere Web Client home page takes you to the main VUM administration screen. Figure 4.3 shows that this area is divided into two main sections: Monitor and Manage.
