The 5380 series controllers feature the following improvements over the 5370 series:
- A 20% increase in memory capacity
- 5-20 times faster scan times and task switching
- The task monitor is now built into 5380 web pages
- Safety, Phase Manager, and Application lifecycle management (ALM) support to be added in future
- Supports Studio 5000 version 28+
