Summary

In this chapter, we introduced the powerful coroutine concurrency library and covered both the fundamental building blocks and the higher-level constructs. The coroutine library is still a relatively new addition to the Kotlin ecosystem, and, as such, it should be expected to evolve. Some of the code snippets in this chapter include experimental APIs that may change in the future, but great effort has been spent to stick to examples that should remain valid for the foreseeable future.
