Meeting the future of Ethereum
Ethereum coming this far and achieving a vibrant econsystem has been a long time in the making. As we conclude the book, let us reflect back on the major events in Ethereum’s short history. The most memorable one may be the genesis block; however, the most important milestone is probably the transition to PoS and the merge of Ethereum 1.0 and Ethereum 2.0, which after the merge became known as just Ethereum. Prioritization of security and decentralization in Ethereum seems to have paid off by itself; this is manifested by an increased number of L2 rollup adoptions, which rely on Ethereum to provide security guarantees and final settlement. Scaling solutions hold the key to the future success of the Ethereum platform. While it is daunting, with a meticulous approach to research and deliberate planning on the roadmap, we believe Ethereum has found solid solutions that finally address the scalability challenges.
