To get the most out of this book
You should have a basic understanding of the Linux, basic commands, and tools such as Git and a text editor such as vi.
The chapters contain both theory and hands-on exercises. We feel that the exercises help to reinforce the theory, but they are not required to understand each topic. If you want to do the exercises in the book, you will need to meet the requirement in the following table:
All exercises were using Ubuntu, but most of them will work on other Linux installations. The Falco chapter has steps that are specific to Ubuntu and the exercise will likely fail to deploy correctly on other Linux installations.
If you are using the digital version of this book, we advise you to type the code yourself or access the code via the GitHub repository (link available in the next section). Doing so will help you avoid any potential errors related to the copying and pasting of code.
