Installing from bootable USB associates with clean install. That is because the computer needs to be booted from a bootable installation media and not from the hard disk drive (HDD). As explained in Chapter 1, Preparing for Installation, in the Determining and creating appropriate installation media section, usually a DVD disc and USB flash drive act as an installation media.
