Case Study – Control
The Control stage of the case study will be discussed in this section.
The team created a process management chart. This chart consisted of the new and improved cross-functional diagram along with the metrics and ways to measure and report them. A response plan was also created that provided information on what to do if the process went out of control. Various control charts were created and the relevant staff were trained on the usage and interpretation of these charts. They were encouraged to report any out of control situations to the concerned decision makers on time. This ensured that the defects were within control and could be detected easily.
