Technical requirements
We will be using the following tool to accomplish the tasks in this chapter:
- Microsoft Cost Management + Billing, available at https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_CostManagement/Menu/~/overview. Alternatively, you can also find Cost Management + Billing by signing in to the Azure portal and typing
Cost Management + Billingin the top-center search bar.
When using this tool, sign in to the Azure portal using your organization ID. Please refer to Chapter 1 for the minimum RBAC permissions required to use Azure Cost Management + Billing.
During this chapter, we will use the healthcare industry as an example to illustrate how to create metrics for unit economics. Let’s start with an introduction to cloud unit economics.
