Chapter 7: Extracting Value

In previous chapters, we developed a data pipeline to collect datasets from external locations and transform them into a data source to extract organizational value. However, we have not yet attempted to gain any insight or leverage the advanced analytical capabilities that Alteryx provides.

This chapter will help you to enhance your knowledge of how to complete an exploratory data analysis (EDA) process. This process involves a common set of investigative methods that are also used in other analytic projects.

We will also learn the skills required to build reproducible reports. We will assemble the text, visual, and context components required for an Alteryx report. With the components available, we will compose a report layout and render the report for our end users.
