Exploring the Clip View

This is the place where we can adjust clip properties. We can display this by double-clicking on a clip in the Session or Arrangement View, or alternatively, we can click on the Clip Overview (Figure 3.1).

By doing this, we will also display the Sample Editor in the case of an audio clip (Figure 3.2).

If we are working in the Session View, we can further display Follow Action (which we will cover in Chapter 13, Exploring Tempo Follower, Follow Action, Max for Live, Working with Video, and Ableton Note), Launch Modes, and Clip Quantization (which will be covered in Chapter 15, Playing Live) by clicking on the triangular toggle button (Figure 3.3).
