Telecoms infrastructure as a whole also has to be protected from cybercrime. Several parts of the world are embracing the mobile internet on account of the telecoms infrastructure.
For instance, in India alone, between 2015 and 2019, over 275 million people gained access to the mobile internet. While the internet infrastructure was mostly created in the last three decades, telecoms has evolved itself into what it is today, and that too at a rapid pace.
